Lead with Us

Together, we can make a greater impact, amplify each voice, and turn our lived experiences into opportunities for change.

If you're a leader of a maternal health organization, we want you to lead with us. Every experience matters – especially those historically marginalized.

How it Works

We provide Certified Patient Family Partner (PFP) training for your members with a "lived experience" – or those that represent them, to ensure a productive partnership and accepting culture is a part of all patient care and quality improvement practices.

Our matchmaking program brings together maternal healthcare providers and PFPs to integrate the lived experience and create change wherever maternal health improvement is needed.

Together, we're addressing cross-cutting issues such as quality and consistency of healthcare delivery, patient-provider communications, racial disparities, inadequate research funding, and other major contributors to poor health equity and adverse outcomes in pregnancy and the postpartum period.

Coalition Benefits

  • Unlimited Access Passes to Patient Family Partner certification - training your community to be advocates for your cause.
  • Individual coaching for your community to best represent their lived experience.
  • Opportunities for your community to take part in maternal health decisions (ie. participate in focus groups, surveys, advisory councils and more.)
  • Consideration for sub-awardee opportunities on MoMMA's Voices grant applications.
  • Opportunity to connect with leaders from other Maternal Health Organizations.
  • Access to real time data on how your community is being involved in training and quality improvement opportunities

BIPOC Grants

As part of MoMMA's Voices strategic plan, we will be offering grant funding to BIPOC led organizations. As funding becomes available, opportunities will be promoted to MoMMA's Voices Coalition members. If you want to be considered for grant funding and offered opportunities to apply, sign up to become a coalition member today.

The Crisis

The U.S. continues to face a maternal mortality crisis. At least 60% of these deaths are preventable. [Source: CDC]

BIPOC Grants

Black Indigenous, and People of Color are disproportionately affected. Increase BIPOC representation.

What Others Are Saying

Our community members were desperate to find purpose in their experiences and this was the

catalyst to help them get started. This training enables our community members the ability to

assess if they are ready, and provides them a foundational understanding of what is needed to

be a successful advocate.
