Talk With Our Team
Hosted Patient Family Advisory Councils

Before your next project reaches patients and families, bring their perspective into the process.

Our Hosted PFACs give eligible organizations and project teams access to lived-experience feedback that can help strengthen patient-facing materials, policies and procedures, surveys, quality improvement efforts, research, planning, and more.

You bring us the work. MoMMAs Voices manages the process. Our Hosted PFAC brings the perspective.

What you can bring

How can a Hosted PFAC support your work?

Most teams already have something in progress that patients and families will read, use, or feel. These are the areas where lived-experience perspective tends to help most.

Policy & procedure

Policies shape what a patient experiences and how it feels when it happens.

  • Debrief processes
  • NICU and bereavement policies
  • Transfer of care
  • Shared decision-making
  • Patient-centered care

Patient-facing materials

Anything a patient or family reads, watches, or follows after they leave the room.

  • Educational materials
  • Videos
  • Discharge instructions
  • Signage
  • Health literacy and language review

Patient survey & experience interpretation

The questions you ask, and what you do with the answers.

  • Survey question review
  • Response option review
  • Identifying gaps
  • Interpreting patient feedback
  • Prioritizing follow-up

Co-development & planning

Work that is still taking shape, where perspective can shape it early.

  • Quality improvement initiatives
  • Research study design
  • Simulation planning
  • Community initiatives
  • Needs assessments

The process

How it works

Four steps. MoMMAs Voices carries the coordination so your team can stay focused on the work.

  1. Submit your request

Tell MoMMAs Voices what you are working on and where patient and family perspective could help.

  2. We clarify what you need

MoMMAs Voices reviews the request, confirms the context and questions, and follows up as needed.

  3. We bring it to the Hosted PFAC

MoMMAs Voices facilitates the request with the appropriate Patient Family Partners.

  4. We bring the perspective back to you

MoMMAs Voices summarizes the Hosted PFAC's feedback and shares it with your team.

After you submit, a MoMMAs Voices team member will contact you within two weeks.

How the connection works

A facilitated connection protects both sides

Your team works through MoMMAs Voices. Patient Family Partners work through MoMMAs Voices. We facilitate the exchange between you.

Your team brings the work

  • The work itself
  • The questions you want answered
  • Relevant context
  • A point of contact

MoMMAs Voices manages the rest

  • Coordination
  • Communication
  • Facilitation
  • Expectations on both sides
  • The exchange itself

Feedback comes back without names

Patient Family Partners are not identified to the requesting organization.

A facilitated structure helps create space for candid, authentic lived-experience perspective while allowing both sides to stay focused on the work.

Bring it to our Hosted PFAC

If patients and families will experience it, their perspective belongs in it.

If your team is developing something patients and families will read, experience, participate in, respond to, or be affected by, bring their perspective into the work before it is finalized.

Listen. Partner. Improve.
